Created on January 2, 2008, Newedge is a joint venture combining the successful global brokerage firms of Calyon Financial and Fimat. Outlined below are the key milestones in the histories of the Newedge legacy companies:

On September 11, 2001, Carr Futures (since named Calyon Financial and with Fimat merged to form Newedge) lost 69 colleagues in the New York World Trade Center.
Each person lost that day was characterized by their unique attributes and played an important role within the Carr Futures organization. As Newedge, we remember these individuals and recognize their contributions and talents.
